Russia has developed a new drone interceptor, designated Malysh, and has already delivered it to unmanned systems units.

The Russian publication www1.ru reported on this.

The interceptor features a conventional fixed-wing airframe with a rectangular wing. It is powered by two electric motors driving tractor propellers. The aircraft uses a conventional tail configuration, consisting of a vertical stabilizer and a horizontal stabilizer.

No specialized launch catapult is required to deploy the UAV – the aircraft is launched by hand by the operator.

The developers claim that the system features a versatile design and is characterized by ease of maintenance and straightforward pre-flight preparation.

The Russian military has not yet disclosed detailed technical specifications of the new unmanned interceptor.
