Russian Air Force’s strategic aircraft attacks Ukraine for the first time in six weeks

Russia has struck the territory of Ukraine with cruise missiles using Tu-95 strategic bomber.

The statistics of shelling and attack repulsion were made public by the Air Force Command of UA Armed Forces.

According to the information of the Ukrainian Air Force, around 4 am on April 28, the Russians carried out launches from the airspace over the waters of the Caspian Sea. A total of 23 Kh-101/Kh-555 missiles were launched.

Units of the Air Defence Forces in cooperation with air defense of other Defense Forces were able to shoot down 21 cruise missiles.

The Russians hit a residential building in Uman (Cherkasy region). According to the head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, Ihor Taburets, so far there is information about the death of three Ukrainians, another 8 are injured.

A woman and a two-year-old child died in Dnipro as a result of a Russian attack. Three more people were injured. The Russians destroyed a detached house. According to the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, a private enterprise and a construction base were damaged.

Russia’s massive attack with cruise missiles on April 28 was the first since March 9. Then the Russians launched a total of 81 missiles over Ukraine, including 6 Kh-47 Kinzhal hypersonic missiles.
