On the night of September 9, Russian strike drones attacked the Starokozache international road border crossing in Ukraine’s Odesa region.
Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service reported the attack.
The crossing is located on the Ukrainian-Moldovan border.
As a result of the attack, enemy drones struck infrastructure at the border crossing and the surrounding area, sparking fires.
According to border officials, civilians who were near the crossing were killed and injured in the attack.
The processing of passengers and vehicles at this border crossing has been temporarily suspended. Moldova has been informed of the situation.
This is not the first Russian strike on a border crossing with Moldova in recent times.
In August, Russian Shahed drones attacked the Vynohradivka road border crossing.
The strike and subsequent fire also damaged the facility’s infrastructure.
