Portugal transferred three Leopard 2A6s to Ukraine

Three Leopard tanks from Portugal have already been delivered to Ukraine.

The Ministry of Defense of the country reported this.

“Three Leopard 2A6 tanks handed over by Portugal are already in Ukraine. They are delivered by agreement with our partners. Portugal continues supporting Ukraine’s fight against the illegal invasion by Russia,” the statement reads.

Thus, Ukraine has already received 21 Leopard 2A6 tanks.

Germany has previously already handed over 18 Leopard 2 tanks.

According to Der Spiegel, the German government has fulfilled its commitment to deliver 18 Leopard 2 battle tanks to Ukraine. The most recent shipment of combat vehicles was completed last week, with representatives from Ukraine taking possession of the tanks at the border.

The German Ministry of Defense later confirmed the transfer of equipment.

It emphasized that ammunition and necessary spare parts to maintain the equipment were handed over to Ukraine together with the tanks.

Also, according to Der Spiegel, 40 Marder infantry fighting vehicles have arrived in Ukraine.

In addition, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that Challenger 2 tanks from the UK have already arrived in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian military also received US Cougar MRAP. Cougar MRAP entered service with the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces.
