At the MSPO 2025 exhibition, the Polish company WB GROUP, known for its drones, will showcase its cruise missile development, Lanca (Spear – Ed.).
Military enthusiast @ArkadiuszMolis1, who gained access to the exhibition a day before the official opening, published the photos of the cruise missile on the social media platform X.
According to the published photos, the new cruise missile is designed for container launch from land or sea. The missile features folding wings and a solid-fuel booster needed to gain initial altitude and speed before the main turbojet engine ignites.
Additionally, the missile has a distinctive notch at the front of the nose, which may indicate the use of a homing head or an optical navigation system for terrain-following.
It is difficult to determine the missile’s potential range and warhead size based solely on the photos of the model, as it may be a scaled-down prototype rather than a full-sized version.
More information on the new cruise missile is expected to be revealed following the opening of the MSPO 2025 exhibition, which will be covered, among others, by Militarnyi’s correspondents.
This is not WB GROUP’s first missile project. The company, in partnership with South Korea’s Hanwha Aerospace, is set to establish joint production in Poland of 239mm CGR-080 high-precision missiles for the K239 Chunmoo systems and their Polish variant, the Homar-K.
