Two oil pumping stations, Vtorovo and Lobkovo, in Russia’s Vladimir Region are on fire following a drone attack by Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

According to NASA’s FIRMS fire-monitoring system, satellites detected fires at the Vtorovo station at 03:13 a.m. and at the Lobkovo station at 05:04 a.m. on June 10, 2026. The facilities are located in the Kameshkovo and Alexandrov districts of the region.

Additionally, according to information provided by Vladimir Region Governor Alexander Avdeyev, drone strikes caused fires at two infrastructure facilities.

The primary function of these stations is to pump diesel fuel directly into the Moscow Ring Oil Products Pipeline, a key fuel distribution route serving the Moscow area.

The Vtorovo station is located at coordinates 56.175150, 40.964695, while Lobkovo is located at 56.469027, 38.352251. Transneft-Verkhnyaya Volga operates both facilities.

The facilities play an important role in supplying motor fuels to the Moscow metropolitan region, supporting a significant share of the area’s fuel distribution network.

The station is part of Russia’s large-scale North investment project, which is designed to transport Euro-5-standard diesel fuel from Russian refineries inland and onward for export through Baltic Sea ports, including the oil terminal at the Port of Primorsk.

The previous attack occurred recently, on May 24. As a result of that strike, the facility sustained damage, as evidenced by a major fire visible from dozens of kilometers away.

This is not the first time the Vtorovo oil pumping station has been targeted. A previous drone attack occurred on the night of May 23–24, with local authorities issuing a drone threat alert at 00:04 a.m.

Satellite imagery later confirmed that Ukrainian drones had struck the facility.

The images indicate that the attack destroyed the main pumping station and nearby equipment, and damaged a fuel storage tank and an adjacent industrial pipeline structure, causing significant damage to the site.
