Six Chinese Aircraft and Seven Ships Detected Around Taiwan; Five Aircraft Enter ADIZ

Six aircraft and seven ships from the PRC Navy were detected around Taiwan.

This was reported by Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense.

Monitoring took place from 00:00 on October 28 to 00:00 on October 29 Kyiv time (from 06:00 on October 28 to 06:00 on October 29 local time, UTC+8).

Of the six aircraft detected, five entered the island’s air defense identification zone.

The violations were recorded in the northern, central, and southwestern parts of the air defense identification zone.

In particular, four aircraft and drones crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait.

One fighter jet was flying in the northeastern part of Taiwan’s air defense zone.

The Taiwanese Armed Forces monitored the situation and took appropriate countermeasures. To monitor air and maritime space, they deployed patrol aircraft and naval vessels.

Coastal anti-aircraft missile systems were also deployed to monitor Chinese activity.

On October 27–28, Japan detected a Russian Navy reconnaissance ship and three military aircraft from the People’s Republic of China flying near Japanese islands.

The Russian Meridian-class reconnaissance ship SSV-535 Karelia passed through the Tsushima Strait heading southwest.

Meanwhile, a Chinese BZK-005 reconnaissance drone and a Y-9 reconnaissance aircraft flew from the East China Sea toward the Pacific Ocean.
