NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced the delivery of systems to combat drones to Ukraine. These weapons will be transferred “in the coming days”.

The NATO Secretary General stated this during a discussion at the Berlin Foreign Policy Forum.

“The most important thing we can do is to fulfill what the members of the Alliance have promised, to activate and provide even more air defense systems. In the coming days, NATO will hand over anti-drone systems to counter the specific threat of drones, in particular from Iran,” the NATO Secretary General said.

He also noted that “no country should support the Russian Federation’s war against Ukraine.”

Stoltenberg emphasized that the air defense systems that were already transferred had a positive effect on the situation on the battlefield.

The partner countries intensified their assistance in providing air defense systems to Ukraine after the repeated attacks of kamikaze drones on the Ukrainian infrastructure.

In particular, the US is accelerating the transfer of NASAMS air defense systems to Ukraine. The first two systems should arrive in Ukraine at the end of October or at the beginning of November.

France plans to provide Ukraine with additional military aid, in particular with the Crotale air defense system. In addition, Ukraine will receive from Spain four Hawk anti-aircraft missile systems.

Dmytro Kuleba, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, stated that Ukraine will send a diplomatic note to Israel regarding the provision of air defense systems. He also emphasized that Iran’s actions against Ukraine should become an argument for Israel to start helping Ukraine with weapons.

Previously, Reuters, citing its own sources, reported that Iran agreed to continue the supply of drones to the Russian Federation and would provide the Russians with short- and medium-range ballistic missiles.
