Montenegro has ordered a large shipment of small arms from Czechia, which will include CZ BREN 3 assault rifles and ammunition.
The Czech Ministry of Defense announced that the contract calls for the delivery of assault rifles, pistols, sniper rifles, and submachine guns.
According to the Czech publication iDNES, Montenegro will receive approximately 6,500 small arms.
Various types of small-caliber ammunition manufactured by Česká zbrojovka and Sellier & Bellot, both part of the Colt CZ Group, will also be supplied.
“We are pleased to have signed a contract to supply several thousand units of Czech weapons and ammunition worth 24.2 million euros. This is the first important step that paves the way for further joint projects,” said Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš.
The CZ BREN 3 is the latest Czech assault rifle, manufactured in the 5.56×45 mm NATO and .300 Blackout calibers.
Companies within the Colt CZ Group have also been collaborating with Ukraine in the production of small arms and ammunition since 2024.
