Massive Russian Missile and Drone Strike Hits Ukraine, Damaging Industrial Sites

On the night of Wednesday, September 10, the Russians launched a massive air strike on Ukraine.

Explosions were heard, in particular, in Lviv, Khmelnytskyi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, and Vinnytsia.

Damage to industrial facilities in various regions is currently known.

In Khmelnytskyi, as a result of the shelling, three people were injured, a sewing factory was destroyed, a gas station and vehicles were damaged, and windows in surrounding buildings were shattered, reported Serhiy Tyurin, head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration.

As a result of the drone and missile strike on the Zhytomyr region, one person was killed and another injured.

According to Vitalii Bunechko, head of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, several civilian enterprises and private houses were damaged. Cleanup efforts are currently underway.

In Vinnytsia, during today’s missile and drone attack, the enemy struck civilian industrial facilities, reported Natalia Zabolotna, the first deputy head of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration. Firefighters are working to contain the blaze. One person has been injured and taken to the hospital.

About 30 residential buildings in the region were also damaged, with broken windows, damaged roofs, and surrounding property affected.

During the night and morning, the Russians attacked the Lutsk community with strike drones. Air defense was active in the region. Lutsk’s mayor, Ihor Polishchuk, reported finding fragments of enemy UAVs in several locations within the community.

Russian drones and missiles attacked Lviv overnight. According to Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, there were no casualties or injuries. The region’s critical infrastructure is operating normally.

The monitoring channel Monitor reported that during the missile and drone attack on the night of September 10, the invaders used Kh-101/Kh-55 and Kalibr cruise missiles, as well as Shahed/Geran-type strike UAVs and Gerbera drones used for decoy purposes.

Later, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported that the Russians had used around 415 drones of various types and more than 40 cruise and ballistic missiles. A total of 15 regions came under attack.
