Major General Dmytro Marchenko returns to Mykolaiv

Major General Dmytro Marchenko, who was in charge of defending Mykolaiv until April, returned to the city.

Vitaly Kim, the Head of Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, announced this during a briefing at the Ukrainian Media Center.

He said that Marchenko will strengthen coordination between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Military Administration. He will also coordinate guerilla activities.

“He was sent specifically to strengthen guerilla work, that also concerns the Kherson Region, and coordinate numerous issues with the military administration. I will reveal nothing else,” Vitaly Kim said.

The day before, at night, the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck the Antonivskyi Bridge in Kherson city.

The invaders demonstrated the aftermath of the strike and reported that the bridge traffic is currently blocked.

Later, the invasion forces also reported an attack on the railway bridge near the city.

Meanwhile, the Operational Command “South” announced the liberation of Andriivka and Lozove villages.
