Ukraine has received a new package of military aid from Lithuania.

The Ministry of National Defense of Lithuania reported on this.

The Ministry of National Defense notes that the equipment arrived in Ukraine on Friday, February 9.

This time, the Lithuanian army delivered and handed over cold weather gear and tens of thousands of warm clothing sets to the Ukrainian military.

“We are supplying gear and clothes to tens of thousands of Ukrainian fighters to keep them protected from cold weather conditions while positioned in field conditions. Every package we contribute is also one more step closer to victory,” says Minister of National Defence Arvydas Anušauskas.

The cost of the transferred equipment, included in the next military aid package, is not disclosed.

It is worth emphasizing that Lithuania continues to provide uninterrupted military aid to Ukraine and regularly supplies Ukrainian Defense Forces with various weapons and ammunition.

In early February, Lithuania handed over thousands of rounds of ammunition for Carl-Gustaf recoilless rifles to the Ukrainian military as part of defense assistance.

In addition, Defense Forces received RISE-1 remote detonation systems.

The main function of the system is to initiate the connected electronic fuse in a safe and timely manner using wireless signals.

Also in December 2023, Lithuania handed over a new military aid package to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The military aid package includes one million ammunition rounds for small arms and winter gear.

In November last year, the Ukrainian military received two launchers for NASAMS air defense systems from Lithuania. Along with them, the vehicles, required by the crews of the system, were also transferred.
