The Defense Forces of Ukraine have begun using the Ukrainian TOR A unmanned aerial vehicle as a drone carrier for interceptor drones.

This was reported to Miltarnyi by Altair Technologies.

The system has been equipped with FPV drone carriers and Rocket Drone JR-1 interceptors. It also operates as a reconnaissance platform and communications relay to extend the range of small air defense UAVs.

The electric version of the system has a flight endurance of 70-90 minutes and a range of 130-150 km. It can carry up to 6 kg of payload.

The internal combustion engine variant can remain airborne for up to 240 minutes. This version has a range of up to 400 km with a payload of up to 8 kg.

The design includes two underwing hardpoints for payload integration. The airframe is made of composite materials using matrix molding technology to ensure strength and low weight.

Extended airborne endurance allows the platform to remain on station in a designated area and wait for targets. The concept is intended for intercepting Shahed-type strike drones.
