At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the Day of Ukraine’s Defense Industry Workers, an updated exhibition of Ukrainian-made weapons and military equipment was opened, featuring a new long-range strike UAV called Sichen.

Lusa published photos of the new UAV.

According to the display description, the flight range is up to 1,400 km, and the strike accuracy is up to 20 meters. The drone is equipped with a 40-kilogram warhead.

The aircraft’s maximum speed reaches 200 km/h, and its maximum flight altitude is up to 1,500 meters. The maximum takeoff weight is up to 140 kg. The UAV’s preparation time for flight does not exceed 15 minutes.

It is stated that the Sichen strike UAV is designed to engage high-value targets, critical infrastructure facilities, and concentrations of enemy forces.

It is capable of operating under conditions of active electronic warfare and carrying out missions in the operational-tactical depth both day and night.

According to a Ukrinform correspondent, representatives of Ukrainian defense companies conducted a tour of the updated exhibition for foreign diplomats. Compared to last year, it now includes the RK-360 Neptune, AREION, and Flamingo cruise missiles, as well as Buntar-3, GOR, Sichen, and Sova-150 drones. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also features Octopus and STING interceptor drones, the LTEJ Mirage electronic warfare system, and mock-ups of Ukrainian MANPADS.

“It’s significant that we’re updating this exhibition after just one year – that reflects how fast Ukraine’s defense industry is evolving, and the pace modern war demands. Ukrainian weapons are unique because they’ve been tested in real combat. That is our true national asset,” Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha noted.

Ukrainian FP-1 and FP-2 strike drones are made up of more than 90% domestically produced components. Among other things, these UAVs are equipped with Ukrainian-made cameras and protected CRPA antennas.

Denys Shtilerman, co-founder and chief designer of Fire Point, shared this in a podcast by Serhii Sternenko.

Although the company currently purchases flight controllers on the market, it already has its own developed board and is ready to switch to using it if needed.

Meanwhile, he added that in the long-range cruise missile FP-5 Flamingo, only one component remains imported, while the rest are manufactured in Ukraine.
