The capital’s citizens transferred 1000 FPV drones with thermal imaging cameras to the soldiers of the 4th Rubizh Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine.

Vitali Klytschko, Mayor of Kyiv, announced this in a video posted on his Telegram.

Another batch of aid has been sent to one of the hottest spots in the Russian-Ukrainian war. These night drones will assist the military in destroying the enemy.

The Mayor of Kyiv also noted that on November 21, the Day of Dignity and Freedom, the soldiers of the 4th Brigade of the National Guard received Heavy Shot heavy bomber drones and Mavic quadcopters of various types from the community of the capital.

The defenders also received FPV drones and electronic warfare systems to protect soldiers in the trenches and vehicles used by the military near the front line.

Since 2022, Kyiv has allocated almost UAH 800 million from the city budget for equipment to the 4th Rubizh National Guard Brigade, including more than UAH 310 million this year.

In October, the capital’s residents also transferred 550 Mavic drones to the soldiers of the 5th separate Kyiv assault brigade.

These drones help Ukrainian defenders perform combat missions on the front line.

In particular, 150 Mavic 3T and 400 Mavic 3 PRO drones were sent from Kyiv to Donbas to strengthen the capabilities of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the fight against Russian invaders.

Since the beginning of this year, the capital has allocated a total of UAH 650 million from its budget to equip the 5th Assault Brigade as of October, Vitalii Klitschko shared during the delivery of the drones.

It is worth noting that the massive use of FPV drones in the fighting between Ukrainian and Russian forces has dramatically changed the landscape of modern warfare.

Successfully using one or more cheap drones can destroy military equipment worth millions of dollars. Read more on this weapon in Militarnyi’s article: “FPV drones: the weapon that changed modern warfare.
