Kostyantynivka: Ukrainian Fighter Jet Drops Air Bomb on Russian Positions in City Center

Ukrainian fighter jets have launched airstrikes on Russian forces in the center of Kostyantynivka, including in an industrial zone.

One of the strikes was shown on the Sonyashnyk Telegram channel, which is associated with Ukrainian aviation.

A MiG-29 fighter jet destroyed a building where Russian drone operators were positioned, striking a window with an air bomb.

“Our aviation dealt a devastating blow with air bombs to the location of the enemy drone operators,” the message reads.

Russian drone operators could operate from this area of the city only if assault units had already taken control of this part of the settlement and advanced further.

The city of Kostyantynivka is included in the area of responsibility of Operation Task Force East.

According to the group, as of July 4, Kostyantynivka remains under the control of units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, while continuous combat clashes continue in some areas.

Attempts by Russian forces to infiltrate the city are detected, the invaders are eliminated, and fire is directed at logistical routes and concentration areas of personnel, the group reported.

Soldiers of the 19th Army Corps recorded a video from Kostyantynivka and rejected Putin’s statements concerning the full capture of the city.

Ukrainian forces are present in various areas of the city and are working to prevent the city’s complete seizure.

Andriy Kovalev, spokesperson for the General Staff, also stated that reports of an alleged occupation of Kostyantynivka are false.

“According to data from the operational situation display in the Dzvin-AS operational command and control system and the DELTA system, Kostyantynivka remains under the control of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. Military units of the 19th Army Corps of the Operation Task Force East continue defensive operations at designated lines within the settlement and on its approaches,” he said.
