In Russia, an explosion took place at a defense plant that produces explosives and detonators.

As a result of the event, there are dead and injured, according to the Russian propaganda media.

It is reported that it was the Chapaev Mechanical Plant in the Samara region of Russia, where the explosion occurred.

This was reported by the Russian media on February 17 with reference to the emergency services of the region.

As a result of the explosion, one person died, and three more factory workers were injured.

It is noted that the explosion did not cause a fire, so there was no blaze.

“In one of the workshops of the Chapaev Mechanical Plant, an explosive detonation occurred, there was no fire. One person died, three were injured,” the emergency services said.

Currently, Russian law enforcement agencies are investigating the circumstances of the extraordinary event.

The Chapaev Mechanical Plant produces detonator capsules, pyrotechnic relays, detonating cords, cumulative charges, hermetic explosive cartridges, and cartridged emulsion explosives.

As previously reported, last December, a large-scale fire was reported in the oil and gas condensate Markovskoye field in the Irkutsk region.

The condensate field is located 160 km southwest of the town of Kirensk, near the village of Verkhnemarkovo.

The fire originated at a technological facility aimed at the complex preparation of natural gas.
