Ilsky Oil Refinery Halts Operations After September 26 Attack

The Ilsky Oil Refinery halted operations following a Ukrainian drone attack on September 26, 2026.

Satellite imagery published by the “Absolutely Reliable Source” Telegram channel indicates the shutdown.

The strike damaged three primary crude-processing units – AT-4, AT-5, and AT-6 – as well as the refinery’s tank farm.

The most significant of these units are AT-5 and AT-6, with designed processing capacities of 1.8 million and 3.6 million tonnes of crude oil per year, respectively. AT-4 is designed to process up to 300,000 tonnes of crude oil annually.

Together, the three units have a combined capacity of around 5.7 million tonnes per year, accounting for more than 86% of the refinery’s total designed capacity.

AT-6 was commissioned in late 2020 as part of a major modernization of the facility.

The launch of this unit increased the Ilsky Oil Refinery’s total capacity from approximately 3 million to 6.6 million tonnes of crude oil per year.

Militarnyi previously reported that the attack sparked a fire at the facility.

Ilsky Oil Refinery

The Ilsky oil refinery (KNGK-INPZ LLC) is one of the region’s largest privately owned oil refineries.

The facility plays an important role in supplying fuel to both the domestic market and for export.

The oil refinery is located in the urban locality of Ilskaya in Seversky district, approximately 30 km from Krasnodar.

The facility specializes in primary crude oil refining and producing petroleum products, including diesel fuel, gasoline, fuel oil, and bitumen.

The refinery is also a key link in supplying fuel to Ukraine’s temporarily occupied territories and to military units in Russia’s Southern Military District.
