German company Donaustahl has begun mass production of flight controllers for FPV drones, with volumes already reaching six figures.
The company said that Donaustahl aims to become a leading player in the field of critical electronics for unmanned aerial vehicles.
“Huge industrial power is finally rising from its boring grave. Outsourcing to China is over,” the company said.
In particular, large-scale production of electronic speed controllers (ESC) and flight controllers (FC) for drones has been established in Germany.
Thanks to a powerful processor, flight controllers ensure fast command processing and high flight stability.
A gyroscope sensor in the controller ensures accurate motion tracking, which improves drone maneuverability and minimizes delays in response to operator commands.
The electronic speed controller is designed to control the speed of electric motors used in radio-controlled models with electric power plants and in electric transport.
This controller allows to smoothly vary the power supplied to the motor, ensuring precise and stable control.
In 2024, Donaustahl received permission to supply its innovative MAUS drones to Ukraine.
The MAUS platform is a versatile FPV quadcopter capable of performing both reconnaissance and strike missions.
This drone is described as a “fully modular, economical, reliable, and easy-to-operate platform” that requires minimal operator training.
The MAUS is known to be capable of carrying payloads of up to 2.7 kg and has a flight range of 5 to 7 km. It is equipped with a high-resolution camera for nighttime operations and can be fitted with various types of ammunition.
