From UAH 500 thousand to 8 million: Brave1 has resumed its grant program

The Brave1 Defense Technology Cluster is resuming its grant program to support Ukrainian manufacturers.

The representatives of the defense tech sector can once again apply for funding for their developments and receive grants of UAH 500 thousand, 1, 2, 4 or 8 million.

The program covers a wide variety of areas, from swarms of ground robotic systems and ballistic missiles to miner boats and fiber-optic-controlled kamikaze drones capable of covering more than 20 kilometers.

The Brave1 grant initiative has already been in place before, and now, after a short break, it is open for applications again. The only difference is that there is a requirement to submit some additional documents. You can apply and find out all the details through the Brave1 platform.

The program is open to Ukrainian manufacturers who are official members of Brave1 and whose developments have passed a defense expertise.

The amount of funding depends on its results: to get UAH 500 thousand, you need to score at least 4 points, and for the maximum amount of 8 million, you need at least 7 points.

According to Natalia Kushnerska, head of Brave1, more than 500 grants have been issued since the program has begun to develop domestic defense technologies.

The manufacturers of unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as land and sea robotic and remote-controlled systems, have been the most active in attracting funding.

In total, Ukrainian defense tech companies have already received UAH 2.2 billion to continue their developments.

The program defines strategic areas to be supported: drones for various purposes, land and sea autonomous systems, modern electronic warfare equipment, precision munitions, navigation, communication and power supply technologies, anti-drone systems, missile weapons, artificial intelligence solutions, as well as reconnaissance and demining equipment.
