Drone operators of the FPV drones of the 109th Separate Battalion of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade “Edelweiss” destroyed an enemy BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launcher system along with ammunition.

The video was released by the battalion’s press service.

“Thanks to precise strikes and the use of modern technologies, we successfully neutralize threats, in particular, the Grad multiple rocket launcher system, ensuring the security of the region and raising the morale of all Ukrainian defenders,” the statement reads.

According to the released footage, the drone hit the back of the launcher, which caused the detonation of the entire ammunition.

The “War in Ukraine. Losses of Equipment” project detailed that the Grad was destroyed near the village of Mykolaivka, in the temporarily occupied part of Luhansk region.

A comparison with the DeepState project’s map shows that the MRL was destroyed nearly 14 kilometers from the front line.

According to the Oryx OSINT project, since the beginning of the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war, Russia has lost 263 BM-21 Grads, including 205 destroyed, 20 damaged, 2 abandoned, and 36 captured.

“Edelweiss” Brigade

On December 17, Militarnyi reported that Russian assault groups were defeated by the Edelweiss brigade in the Donetsk region near the village of Vyymka.

The Ukrainian military shot down all the advancing Russian armored vehicles. Then the invaders tried to advance with infantry, which was already being hit by FPV drones.

Ukrainian soldiers also used incendiary shells from drones, which are used to destroy fortifications where enemy infantry is hiding.

On December 15, it was reported that the brigade’s units repelled a massive Russian assault in the direction of Siversk.

In total, about 30 armored vehicles, as well as more than 70 motorcycles and buggies, were involved, which in several waves and from different directions tried to break through to the positions of Ukrainian defenders.

To intercept the enemy columns, the brigade actively used FPV drones, which were used against both heavily armored vehicles and Russian infantry, motorcycles and buggies.
