Entire Unit Eliminated: DOZOR and Territorial Defense Forces Destroy Russian Senezh SOF Unit

Ukrainian forces have eliminated a unit from Russia’s elite Senezh Special Purpose Center in the Sumy region.

The report comes from military correspondent Andrii Tsaplienko.

According to his information, a group from the 3rd Directorate of the Senezh Center had been operating in the Kharkiv, Sumy, and Chernihiv regions, carrying out raids against civilians and Ukrainian troops.

However, the unit soon faced a harsh response: fighters from the State Border Guard Service’s DOZOR special unit, together with the soldiers of the 105th Territorial Defense Brigade, crushed the enemy group and eliminated its commander.

Enemy losses amounted to six killed and eight wounded.

The names and call signs of the Russian special forces operatives have been identified: “Ticher” (the commander), “Dzhamboole,” “Varus,” “Hryha,” “Voron,” “Harley,” “Filin,” “Armen,” “Fakir,” “Hacker,” “Henry,” and “Khrust.”

Russian Telegram channels report that in early October, the commander of the Sever (North) Grouping of Forces, General Nikiforov, assigned the group a mission to carry out reconnaissance and sabotage operations in the Sumy region, advancing from the area near the settlement of Poroz.

However, during the execution of their combat mission, the group walked into a well-organized ambush and was destroyed.

It is worth noting that a year ago, fighters from the Chernihiv Resistance Movement eliminated a group of Russian special forces officers from the Senezh unit.

At that time, Senezh soldiers were ambushed while carrying out a sabotage and reconnaissance mission involving the mining of Ukrainian territory.

The Senezh Center is one of the most professional units within the Russian Special Operations Forces.

Special forces operatives from the center have conducted operations in the Caucasus, the Middle East, Africa, as well as during the occupation of Crimea and the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war.

The permanent deployment point is located in Solnechnogorsk, the Moscow region, on the territory of military unit 92154.
