Strike drones attacked the aviation training center and the airbase in the city of Borisoglebsk, the Voronezh region.
The publication Astra shared video footage from the incident.
The center conducts pilot training and practical flights to develop the necessary knowledge and skills for flying fighter aircraft.
The aviation unit of the training center is located on the territory of the 209th Training Aviation Base and consists of Yak-130 advanced jet trainers.
Meanwhile, according to data from the NASA FIRMS service, an abnormal temperature rise was detected at the Borisoglebsk airfield, which may indicate a successful drone attack. A large fire was recorded at 3:30 a.m.
This airbase has been attacked before — in August 2024, strike drones targeted the military airfield in the same city, Borisoglebsk, the Voronezh region. The Borisoglebsk airbase is home to Su-25, Su-30, Su-34, and Su-35 aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
It should be noted that this is not the first attack on the training center. On June 2, 2025, the territory of the aviation training center was previously targeted by drones. As a result of the strike, two servicemen were killed, despite attempts by the Russian Ministry of Defense to conceal the attack.
The center was also attacked in April 2024, when one of the strike drones crashed into the facade of the building at the level of the fourth floor around 3 a.m. An hour later, another drone hit the same area. At that time, the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine reported damage to a production workshop.
