Drones Attack Cargo Ship NADEZHDA Near Novorossiysk

Near the Russian Black Sea port of Novorossiysk, drones attacked the cargo ship NADEZHDA.

The Turkish Maritime Directorate reported the incident on Monday evening, Reuters reported.

Three crew members were seriously injured in the attack.

At the time of the attack, the vessel was en route from Novorossiysk to the Turkish port of Samsun and was approximately 20 nautical miles off the Russian coast.

All 22 crew members, including those injured, were evacuated to Russian territory.

A fire broke out in the vessel’s bow section, where the bridge is located, after it was struck by the drones.

On August 1, Ukrainian sea drones struck two vessels involved in the logistics and export of Russian resources in the Black Sea.
