On Tuesday, January 13, a drone hit the deck of the Delta Harmony tanker, which was docked near the Russian port of Novorossiysk.
A video showing the fire was shared on the Special Kherson Cat page on the social media platform X.
According to Reuters, the tanker had arrived in Russia to load oil from the Caspian Pipeline Consortium, which primarily transports oil from Kazakhstan.
During the attack, the Delta Harmony was in the waiting area before docking at the Russian oil terminal.
The released footage shows that after the drone explosion, a fire broke out on the tanker’s deck near the pipeline system. The extent of the vessel’s damage is currently unknown.

Meanwhile, one of the Russian propagandists claimed that four drones were allegedly used in the attack on the tanker, two of which supposedly failed to explode. The vessel reportedly suffered minimal damage.
This was not the only tanker attacked near the Russian port of Novorossiysk.
It was also reported that the Delta Supreme and Matilda vessels were targeted.
In particular, the Matilda tanker was reportedly struck by two drones about 48 km from the CPC docks and then moved away from the area. A fire broke out on board but was quickly extinguished. Meanwhile, the crew was unharmed, and the ship remained operational.
The terminal of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium handles about 80% of Kazakhstan’s oil exports to global markets via the Black Sea.
Previously, Kazakhstan stated that only one berth at the Novorossiysk terminal is currently operational, which is insufficient for normal export activities.
On January 7, a drone also attacked an oil tanker off the coast of Turkey in the Black Sea. The vessel was en route to Russia.
