Debris, which is believed to be from a drone that crashed during Russia’s overnight attack on Ukrainian infrastructure, was found in Romania near the border with Ukraine.
According to the Romanian Ministry of National Defence, on the night of October 2, radars detected another Russian drone attack on civilian targets near the river border in the northern part of Tulcea County.
At around 5 a.m., an object was reported to have crashed near the village of Plauru, followed by a fire.
No one was injured in the incident, and no significant material damage was reported.
Firefighters and specialists from the Romanian defence agency were dispatched to the scene. They extinguished the fire and cordoned off the area. Specialized teams from the Romanian Ministry of National Defence launched an investigation and began examining the debris at the crash site.
On September 29, debris from an unidentified object resembling a drone was found on farmland on the Great Brăila Island near the village of Gropeni in Brăila County, eastern Romania.
