On the morning of June 28, attack drones of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (DIU) attacked the logistics center of the Russian army in Bryansk.
This was reported by Militarnyi, citing intelligence sources.
Local residents reported on local channels that loud gunfire and a series of explosions had been heard in the city, followed by a fire. A video of the fire was also posted and quickly deleted after the attack.
The local authorities did not comment on the explosions, only reminded of the ban on filming and publishing videos of the “aftermath of air defense efforts.”
In turn, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the “destruction” of 11 UAVs over the Bryansk region at night and in the morning of June 28.
Judging by the video, the territory of the branch of the 1060th Red Banner Center for Material-Technical Support (1060 LMC, military unit 55443-BM), which was previously the 120th arsenal of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate, was hit.
According to intelligence sources, “The GUR continues the operation to demilitarize the aggressor country, and today nice drones hit the facilities of the 120th arsenal of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Defense. Information on the consequences of the attack is being clarified.”
This military unit serves as a storage and repair base for artillery. It is known that in 2023, the head of the Russian government had signed a decree according to which a new plant for the repair of artillery systems – 120 Arsenal – was to appear in the structure of the Russian Ministry of Defense on the territory of that center.
This is not the first time that the Ukrainian defense has successfully hit this artillery arsenal. In November 2024, attack drones successfully attacked this military unit, causing a large-scale fire on its territory.
At that time, the damage to the facilities was confirmed by the governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz: “As a result of the drone attack in Bryansk, non-residential buildings caught fire,” he said.
As a reminder, the strike on the Bryansk International Airport on the night of June 5-6 destroyed a Russian Mi-8 multipurpose helicopter and damaged a Mi-35 attack helicopter.
In addition, the airport’s administrative building and the rescue service building were damaged. There are no reports of casualties or deaths.
