The staff of the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant donated 276 drones of various types to the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

This is reported by the official website of the city of Shepetivka.

To transfer such a number of drones, nuclear workers made charitable contributions by transferring part of their remuneration for 2024 to purchase drones.

They managed to raise UAH 51 million and purchase both quadcopter-type drones for reconnaissance and correction and FPV drones for direct destruction of armored vehicles and manpower.

The drones were selected according to the needs of the military by the volunteers of the if buEnergy of Our Hearts NGO to ensure that they met the technical specifications and could successfully perform tasks at the front.

In total, since February 28, 2024, the nuclear power plant employees have transferred UAH 481 million to support the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

It should be noted that this is not the first transfer of drones from Khmelnytskyi NPP. As part of the Swarm of Drones initiative, the first transfer took place in May 2024, when 75 drones were handed over, 70 of which were FPV, and 5 were Mavic 3T drones with an integrated thermal imaging channel.

At that time, UAH 40 million was raised for the purchase of drones, which was additionally spent on the purchase of the necessary equipment for the defense sector.

Earlier, Militarnyi reported that the Ukrainian Defense Forces received 100 new Latvian Ardlat drones.

The batch of 100 drones was delivered by the Latvian charity foundation Ziedot.lv as part of the public charity initiative “Drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine”.

The funds used to purchase the drones were raised, among other things, during a charity initiative by Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braže, who ran the Riga Half Marathon in May 2024, calling on the public to donate to the drones that the Ukrainian military desperately needs.

The project is being implemented in cooperation with the Embassy of Ukraine in Latvia and the Latvian charity foundation Ziedot.lv and has so far raised about €130 thousand.
