Specialists from the Ukrainian cyber community Cyber Corps carried out a successful operation against the digital infrastructure of the Russian marketplace Wildberries.

This was reported by the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, which noted that the attack took place on August 10–11.

Despite the high level of security of the company’s digital systems, the cyberattack caused widespread technical disruptions to its operations. As a result of the Ukrainian specialists’ actions, the functioning of the main remote customer service channel was disrupted.

At the same time, the company’s payment infrastructure was targeted, and its operations were partially disrupted. This led to a significant additional workload for the marketplace’s contact centers and support services.

Mass complaints from users in various regions of the Russian Federation regarding the platform’s malfunction were recorded online. The vast majority of complaints concerned the inability to process financial transactions and pay for goods.

Wildberries is one of the largest e-commerce platforms and logistics operators in Russia. The company’s services are actively used to support the country’s domestic civilian and military logistics.
