Come Back Alive Foundation purchases 740 thermal imagers for the army

The Come Back Alive Foundation has purchased 740 thermal imagers for the Defense Forces of Ukraine worth 59.5 million hryvnias.

The Come Back Alive Foundation acquired 740 bispectral thermal imagers with AGM Fuzion LRF laser range finder. The value of the batch amounts to 59,496,000 hryvnias.

It is known that the purchased thermal imagers are already being distributed and handed over to the army by the Foundation.

According to the representatives of the Foundation, this amount of optical means can provide the primary needs of several brigades or hundreds of assault groups and observation posts of the Defense Forces.

“Thermal imager makes it possible to detect enemies despite their camouflage – by thermal radiation. A group of soldiers with a thermal imager can work day and night. The observation post, which has a thermal imager, is able to detect the movement of the enemy in time. A reconnaissance group with a thermal imager with long-range functions can operate at night and adjust fire on detected enemy targets,” the Foundation said.

Come Back Alive Foundation projects

Previously, the Come Back Alive Foundation acquired 1460 Bulgarian-made 7.62mm MG-1М machine guns for the Ukrainian military worth € 6.5 million. Ukrainian brigades have already received weapons from the benefactors.

The Foundation handed over the new Arsenal company machine guns and cartridges to paratroopers, marines, as well as mechanized and tank brigades.

Also in May, the Come Back Alive Foundation implemented a discreet project for the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Within its framework, a mobile intelligence station was purchased with donated funds.

The fund notes that this project, which is not easy to implement, was kept a secret for about a year for security reasons. Thus, instead of publicly accumulating funds for the project, the equipment for intelligence was purchased from the general accounts of the charitable organization.
