Ukraine will increase funding for combat battalions, while artillery units will receive separate funding.

This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a meeting with Brigadier General Pavlo Palisa.

Starting next month, the amount of funding allocated to each battalion performing combat missions will increase.

“Since last year, when this funding began, it has already allowed brigades to accelerate the procurement of drones and other necessary equipment,” Zelensky said.

Now, more funds will be allocated to each combat battalion, and separate funding will also be introduced for artillery units operating in the combat zone.

This also applies to corps-level units carrying out combat missions.

“The High Command has already made a decision on this matter, and in July our units will receive additional resources,” Zelensky noted.

The program for the guaranteed monthly allocation of personnel to combat brigades is also proving effective.

The program has been in effect since December 2025 and is currently demonstrating a steady strengthening of the brigades.

This means greater predictability for commanders in their management and significantly broader opportunities for units to independently organize personnel training.
