China has presented a new version of the JL-10 jet trainer, which has a number of design differences from the basic model.

Chinese military aviation researcher @RupprechtDeino and Clash Report published the image of the aircraft on X.

This is a modification of the JL-10, also known as the L-15 Falcon, which, in the basic version, uses Ukrainian jet engines purchased several years ago.

Judging by the published images, the main design difference of the new aircraft is two vertical tail keels instead of one, as in the base aircraft.

At the same time, the image quality does not allow us to determine the exact type of jet engine installed on the aircraft.

The network suggests that this Chinese aircraft is a prototype and was probably captured on camera during its first flight.

So far, there has been no official announcement from the Chinese authorities regarding the name of the new aircraft or its development stage.

Recently, Chinese television aired footage of the production of the newest J-35 deck aircraft for the PLA Navy.
