Russian troop units are leaving the Chernihiv region.

Militarnyi reports about it with reference to Vyacheslav Chaus, Head of the Regional State Administration.

According to him, “the enemy is leaving the Chernihiv region”:

“…Noone knows, why actually this is done. But I hope they leave forever. Even if they regroup and return, we will be waiting for them with doubled “hospitality”.”

The day before, soldiers of the “Right Sector” Ukrainian Volunteer Corps announced the liberation of a number of settlements in the Chernihiv region: Petrivka, Staryi and Novyi Bykiv, Havrylivka, Ukrayinka, Makiyivka, Tereshkivka, Halytsia, Yakhnivka, Svitanok.

Possibly, the Right Sector volunteers have developed upon the offensive success of the 128th Brigade and the “Brotherhood” units, which on March 31 reported the crossing of the administrative border between Kyiv and Chernihiv regions and their move toward Nova Basana.

In one of the liberated villages, Ukrainians had burned down the russian Typhoon MRAP.

The advance in the Chernihiv region on March 31, 2022 was made by the forces of the 2nd and 4th battalions of the “Right Sector” Ukrainian Volunteer Corps. There were no losses among the volunteer personnel.

According to Andriy Stempitsky, the operation was being prepared for several weeks. It included air reconnaissance, sabotage, and artillery training.
