Belarusian Mirotvorets jet-powered drones have been spotted with special operations units of the Libyan National Army, led by Khalifa Haftar and backed by Russia.
The press service of the so-called General Command of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces published the photos.
The images show 10 strike drones, launch catapults, vehicles equipped with communications antennas, and a control station. One drone bears serial number 074, which may indicate that a larger number of these aircraft have been supplied.
The Belarusian Mirotvorets jet-powered drones were developed by the Design Bureau of Unmanned Helicopters, which continued the work of Indela’s design team after the company went bankrupt. Another Belarusian company, UAVHeli, handles the production.
According to investigative journalists, the project is backed by entities linked to retired Col. Gen. Viktor Sheiman, a special envoy who oversees projects for Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko in Latin America and Africa.
The drone was developed from the Berkut-BM target drone and equipped with a Chinese Swiwin micro turbojet engine. It is 2.4 meters long, has a 2.8-meter wingspan, and weighs 46 kg at takeoff.
The aircraft is launched from a catapult and carries 15 liters of fuel. It reaches a maximum speed of 450 km/h and has a flight endurance of up to 45 minutes. Its stated range is up to 180 km at 6,000 meters and up to 120 km at 300 meters. It operates at altitudes from 150 to 6,000 meters.
The drone is reportedly capable of flying fully autonomously along a preprogrammed route or under automated operator control. It navigates using coordinates and carries a 10 kg high-explosive fragmentation warhead.
According to the developer, the Mirotvorets is designed to strike command posts and communications hubs, surface-to-air missile systems at deployment sites, multiple-launch rocket systems and artillery at firing positions, as well as enemy reconnaissance and electronic warfare systems.
The system comprises a Mirotvorets unmanned aerial vehicle, a transport-and-loading vehicle or transport module, a launch unit and a mobile control station.
This is not the first export contract for these drones. In January 2025, they were spotted among the equipment captured by Rwanda-backed M23 rebels in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
In early 2026, it also emerged that India had purchased several dozen of these Belarusian strike drones.
