Artillery hit elements of the Russian Buk SAM

Soldiers of the 15th Separate Artillery Reconnaissance Brigade discovered elements of the enemy Buk surface-to-air missile system, which were later destroyed.

Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander of the Ground Forces, reported this.

“Detachments of the A1108 military unit spotted the Buk SAM, which was supposed to cover the skies of the invaders. It was destroyed within five minutes. This is how our military freed up an entire area for the uninterrupted “work” of our gunner friends,” the Commander shared.

A transport and load vehicle and a 9S18М3 radar were discovered and destroyed.

The TELAR’s ammunition detonated from the strike, which could be seen due to the characteristic explosion and solid rocket fuel fire from anti-aircraft missiles.

The radar was visually, most likely, it was cut by shrapnel and became inoperable, and its further repair might be impractical.

The video captured a characteristic airburst detonation of the ammunition, which could indicate the use of the M982 Excalibur with a MACS 4 or DM72 charge.

In addition, GMLRS missiles of the HIMARS rocket system could have been used.

The missiles were targeting using the Shark drone manufactured by the Ukrainian Ukrspecsystems.

The brigade received drones from the Come Back Alive Foundation.

Militarnyi reported that the Ukrainian defense forces managed to destroy the Russian self-propelled launcher of the Buk anti-aircraft system with GMLRS guided rockets.
