The 422nd Unmanned Systems Regiment Luftwaffe of the 17th Army Corps, in cooperation with the Security Service of Ukraine’s Special Operations Center Alpha, destroyed a rocket and artillery weapons depot in occupied Crimea.
A video of the strike on the target was released by the regiment’s commander, Mykola Kolesnyk. GEOINT analysis by Militarnyi and OSINT analyst blinzka geolocated the strike and determined that the Russian depot was located near the village of Solone Ozero, not far from Dzhankoy.
According to satellite monitoring data from NASA FIRMS, a large-scale fire was recorded in this area on August 13, and the Wikimapia service indicates the location of a military unit there.
The strikes on the facility were carried out by Ukrainian medium-range strike unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), specifically the domestically produced “Zozulya” UAVs.
Additional support during the operation was provided by the 3rd Department of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.
As a reminder, on the night of August 1, Ukrainian forces struck the Syvash railway bridge in the Chonhar area, which connects the occupied territories of the Kherson region with Crimea.
A satellite image shows critical damage to the facility, which likely renders it unusable.
