14th Mechanized Brigade destroyed the Russian TOS-1A Solntsepyok

The soldiers of the 14th Mechanized Brigade destroyed the invaders’ TOS-1A Solntsepyok Heavy Flamethrower System.

Enemy equipment was hit using strike FPV drones.

The press service of the 14th Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported on this.

The Russian TOS-1A was initially hit by a strike drone when it was moving along the highway on one of the sections of the front.

The damage has immobilized the flamethrower system.

Subsequently, an enemy tracked armored recovery vehicle (ARV) arrived to evacuate it.

As it was towing the Solntsepyok along the road, Ukrainian soldiers holding the line in this area detected their movement.

Therefore, the Russian BREM and TOS-1A were later caught up by the FPV strike drones of the 14th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces and hit.

After the drone attack, the vehicles were immobilized, and it is likely that the Russian crews abandoned their vehicles and fled.

The flamethrower system and the ARV remained in the open area, where they became a good target for Ukrainian defenders.

As a result of several FPV drone attacks, the TOS-1A Solntsepyok caught fire, and the invaders’ armored repair and evacuation vehicle was also damaged.

The Ukrainian military has repeatedly destroyed and captured these flamethrower systems and their transport and loading vehicles, particularly in the east, where the enemy is actively using these systems. In particular, Ukrainian defenders recently destroyed a Solntsepyok near the village of Krasnohorivka in the Donetsk region.
