As part of a special prisoner exchange, 10 Ukrainian servicemen from the Armed Forces and National Guard of Ukraine have returned home.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the news.

According to Zelensky, the servicemen had previously been listed as missing.

“Thank you to everyone working every day to bring our people home. We remember everyone who remains in captivity. We are searching for each person by name. And we will do everything we can to free them and bring them home,” Zelensky said.

On August 19, Ukrainian Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets said that the whereabouts of 79 Ukrainian servicemen previously listed as missing had been established following talks with Russia’s human rights commissioner, Yana Lantratova.
