30 Drones Shot Down in a Day: Foxtrot Crew Sets New Record

On April 16, the Foxtrot crew of the 1020th Anti-Aircraft Missile and Artillery Regiment destroyed 30 drones in a single day.

The Serhiy Prytula Foundation reported that they assisted the unit with interceptors to achieve this result.

The list of downed drones included 28 Shahed-type drones and two Gerberas.

It took the crew nearly a year to achieve this result.

The soldiers analyzed every mission, reviewed videos, adjusted their tactics, and gradually increased their effectiveness.

The training was greatly influenced by the experience of Miguel, pilot, who by that point had already set a record of 24 targets in a day.

“The pilot and navigator tracked down targets like predators that had caught the scent of blood. Meanwhile, the technicians worked nonstop to prepare the next aircraft, which were immediately taken to the launch pad,” the crew recounts.

In total, since the start of operations, the Foxtrot crew has destroyed 225 aerial targets and continues to carry out combat missions.

The Foxtrot crew shot down enemy targets using Sting interceptor drones.

Stings are Ukrainian FPV interceptor drones from Wild Hornets designed to combat Russian Shahed/Geran-type kamikaze drones.

They are 3D-printed, quadcopter-based, reach speeds of up to 280 km/h, climb to altitudes of 5-7 km, and have an interception range of approximately 37 km.

In March, the Ukrainian company OSIRIS AI unveiled a new interceptor drone, the UEB-1, capable of reaching speeds of up to 315 km/h.
