U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken confirmed that the Russians have already received ballistic missiles made in Iran.

He stated this in London during a joint press conference with Britain’s Foreign Secretary David Lammy.

Blinken said that due to the transfer of weapons to Russia, Iran will inevitably face new sanctions, which would be imposed later.

“Russia has now received shipments with these ballistic missiles. We’ve warned Tehran publicly, we’ve warned Tehran privately, that taking this step would be a dangerous escalation,” the US Secretary of State said.

In addition, according to Blinken, on Friday, September 13, US President Joe Biden will meet with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer to discuss allowing Ukraine to strike deep into Russia with long-range weapons.

Britain’s Foreign Secretary David Lammy said that he and Antony Blinken would visit Kyiv together this week.

Militarnyi previously reported that Ahmad Bakhshayesh Ardestani, a member of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, has admitted that Iranian ballistic missiles were sent to Russia.

According to Ardestani, Iran is forced to barter with Russia “to meet our needs, including imports of soybeans and wheat.”

Asked whether sending ballistic missiles to Russia could lead to further sanctions against Iran, the Iranian official replied that “it can’t get any worse than this.”

On September 6, Militarnyi reported that the United States had informed its allies that Iranian missiles had been transferred to Russia.

The Group of Seven countries previously promised to impose coordinated sanctions against Iran if it supplies missiles to Russia.

On September 2, Bloomberg reported, citing sources, that Iran would soon transfer ballistic missiles to Russia.

Official Tehran has not commented on the transfer of ballistic missiles to Russia.
