The Ukrainian military has developed the D-21-11 unmanned ground platform, which is currently being tested.
The Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov announced this.
The platform was created as part of the Brave1 defense technology cluster.
According to Fedorov, the universal platform will help the military conduct reconnaissance, carry out assault operations or defend their positions.
The vehicle is equipped with an automatic turret and can perform combat missions.
The D-21-11 can also be used for safe deliveries of ammunition or provisions to combatants on the front line.
It is emphasized that the D-11 unmanned ground platform, armed with a machine gun, has already been successfully tested and has received positive feedback from the military. It is also completely removable.
Currently, developers are planning to integrate NATO weapons into the turret and increase resistance to enemy’s electronic warfare. The team is now working on scaling up production.
In December 2023, 135 developments worth $2.3 million were funded under the Brave1 defense technology cluster. Unmanned ground platforms received the most funding, followed by unmanned aerial vehicles, troop protection and security systems.
Brave1 also provided funds for logistics and life support, automated control, communication and information security systems, and intelligence equipment.
Another area of funding for Brave1 is portable electronic warfare equipment. In November, Militarnyi reported that Ukraine had created an ETER compact electronic intelligence system.
In December, Milrem Robotics signed an agreement with the Ukrainian Defense Industry (Ukroboronprom) to start elaboration of next-generation multi-domain robotic defense systems.
