Zelensky: Heavy artillery, heavy armored vehicles, air defense systems, and aircrafts are what Ukraine needs to win

Zelensky listed the weapons needed to defeat Russia and called on the world to help Ukraine.

The President noted that Russia does not plan to stop in Ukraine, so he urged citizens from all over the world to convey the real needs of Ukraine to their governments.

“We urgently need heavy artillery, heavy armored vehicles, air defense systems, and combat aircrafts,” – Zelensky said.

The list he shared includes:

• artillery units (caliber 155 mm) and ammunition;
• artillery shells (caliber 152 mm). As much as possible;
• MLRS: “Grad,” “Uragan” or American M142 HIMARS;
• armored vehicles (armored personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicles, etc.);
• tanks (Т-72, American or German analogs);
• air defense systems (S-300, “Buk” or similar modern Western air defense systems);
• combat aviation.

“Either the West will help Ukraine stop Putin now, or Putin will continue to expand his Russian Empire while killing thousands of women and children. He has already done this in Mariupol, Kharkiv, Bucha, and other cities of Ukraine,” – Zelensky said.

He also added that Russia is changing its strategy and strengthening its troops to attack cities in Kharkiv, Luhansk, and Donetsk regions, including Mariupol.

Previously, Mircea Joane, Deputy Secretary-General of NATO noted that Russia is preparing for the second stage of the war against Ukraine, which will be wider and more bloody.
