The United States destroyed the Russian-made 9K317E Buk-M2E air defense system (ADS), which was defending the La Carlota air base in Caracas.

The photo was published on the Telegram channel of the Turkish edition of Clash Report.

Venezuela has at least two divisions of these systems, the last of which were delivered this fall.

The Buk-M2E uses four 9M317E missiles and is capable of simultaneously engaging up to 24 targets at a distance of up to 20 km.

The Venezuelan version of the system includes a 9C510E command post, a 9C18M1E radar, and a 9A316E launcher mounted on a Belarusian MZKT-69221 chassis in a 6×6 configuration.

Earlier, Venezuela deployed air defense systems, including Russian Buk-M2E air defense systems, against the backdrop of demonstration flights by U.S. bombers off the country’s coast.
