The Ukrainian operator of the FPV drone shot down a Russian Orlan-10 reconnaissance drone in the Donetsk region.

The Come Back Alive Foundation released the video of the incident.

The Russian UAV was shot down by a soldier of one of the Ukrainian brigades that received drones from the foundation as part of the Dronefall project.

Analysts of the WarArchive Telegram channel have determined from the video that the Russian Orlan-10 reconnaissance drone was shot down near Chasiv Yar, where fierce fighting with the Russian invaders, who want to capture this Ukrainian city, is ongoing.

As previously reported, the open-ended fundraising within the Dronefall project by Come Back Alive Foundation started on August 7.

Its aim is to shoot down 1,000 Russian reconnaissance UAVs using modernized FPV interceptor drones.

A few days after the project’s launch, the first 100 special FPV kamikaze drones were handed over to the 38th Marine Brigade, which has already shot down nine Russian reconnaissance drones.

The project involves not only the purchase of modernized FPV kamikazes, but also the creation and provision of teams that will use them. In particular, it involves the transfer of pickup trucks, communications, power, and night optics.

The shooting down of Russian reconnaissance drones in Ukrainian airspace using FPV drones has already become quite common.

Due to the low speed of Russian reconnaissance drones, the speed of the FPV drone used as an interceptor is enough to catch up and hit it.

Previously, a Ukrainian FPV drone rammed a Russian UAV Supercam in the Kherson region.

Also, at the beginning of July, the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit the operators of a Russian Supercam reconnaissance drone near the village of Varvarivka in the Luhansk region.
