The Leopard 2 tank of the Armed Forces of Ukraine defeated two enemy tanks in combat.

OSINTtechnical published the video capturing the event on X social media.

It is noted that the video was shot at the beginning of counteroffensive actions in the Zaporizhzhia region.

The OSINT community discovered that the battle took place on a section of the Т0803 highway passing near the settlements of Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Novopokrovka, Pavlivske, Novofedorivka, Verbove, and Robotyne.

The video captured the Leopard 2A6 tank firing at two Russian Т-80BV tanks.

As a result of the battle, one Russian tank was damaged, after which two enemy combat vehicles retreated from the position.

It is reported that the tank battle was waged at a distance of approximately 2.8 kilometers.

Militarnyi previously reported that the German defense concern Rheinmetall plans to start maintaining tanks in Ukraine by the end of August.

The Head of the German concern also added that the first twelve Ukrainian workers had already been trained in Germany, and the second group of twelve people had started their training.

It is reported that Ukrainian Leopard 2A4 tanks are equipped with reactive armor. This modernization is designed to increase the survivability of a combat vehicle on the battlefield.

As part of the modernization, the Kontakt-1 ERA modules were installed on the front and side projection of the turret and the sides of the hull of the Leopard tank.

Kontakt-1 ERA modules primarily protect armored vehicles from HEAT projectiles.

When the ERA module is penetrated with a shaped charge, two protection elements that are inside the housing of each such unit are detonated.
