Ukrainian Government Sets Reward for Captured Russians

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved new payments for the capture and elimination of Russian soldiers.

The government explains that this decision is intended to serve as an additional motivational factor for Ukrainian servicemen.

A reward of UAH 100,000 is provided for the capture of an enemy servicemember. This amount will be distributed proportionally among the servicemembers who directly participated in the capture of the prisoner.

It is expected that this initiative will help increase the number of prisoners who can later be exchanged for Ukrainian servicemembers.

A reward of UAH 15,000 will be paid for the elimination of a Russian soldier during a firefight or hand-to-hand combat.

The basis for awarding the reward must be proper confirmation, specifically video footage.
