The Ukrainian military inflicted significant losses on Russian artillery near Donetsk.
The military of the 59th Motorized Brigade and the Shadow of Ukraine unit showed this combat mission in this area.
Initially, three Russian 2S19 Msta-S self-propelled artillery installations were successfully targeted.
Following that, three BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket systems and one BM-27 Uragan MRL were also struck.
On the opposite side of the city, along the road between Donetsk and Makiivka, a 2S4 Tyulpan 240mm self-propelled mortar was effectively neutralized.
It is worth noting that the Msta-S 152mm self-propelled howitzers typically carry up to 50 rounds in their ammunition, which can often detonate following a successful hit.
The self-propelled artillery system (ACS) itself is equipped with a 2А64 gun capable of firing conventional shells at a range of up to 24 km. This range can extend to 29 kilometers when using rocket-assisted projectiles.
In its turn, the BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket system can fire at a distance of up to 21 km with conventional ammunition, while the Uragan MRL boasts a range of 34 km.
The 2S4 Tyulpan 240mm heavy mortar is capable to hit targets at ranges up to 10 kilometers.
The Ukrainian military used reconnaissance drones, which flew unhindered in the Donetsk area, to adjust the fire and destroy these systems.
At the same time, the video also demonstrated the hit of the Strela-10 anti-aircraft missile system, which was supposed to shoot down enemy drones.
Recall that there were recent reports indicating that Russian occupiers have intensified “counter-sabotage measures” in the temporarily occupied Donetsk region, including efforts to identify individuals holding Ukrainian passports.
