A Ukrainian drone strikes a group of Russian FPV drone operators in the Avdiyivka direction, which, as is claimed, belong to the 1st Slavic Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces.
The video was released on social media.
The strike was reportedly a joint operation by the control and field artillery intelligence battery of the 110th separate mechanized brigade and the SSU counterintelligence unit.
Video taken from a quadcopter captured the detection of the position of Russian drone operators in a dilapidated building. After identification, an FPV drone was launched to neutralize the target.
The Russian team of drone operators reacted to the sound of the drone’s arrival but likely did not have time to leave the premises before the UAV struck and exploded.
It is worth noting that until 2022, the 1st Slavic Brigade of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation was called the 1st Slavic Brigade of the so-called People’s Militia of the DPR and was part of the 1st Army Corps. The reorganization of the brigade and the official entry into the Russian Armed Forces took place after the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
At the end of July, in the Bakhmut direction, the SSU unit destroyed the TOS-1А Solntsepyok heavy flamethrower system using an FPV drone.
The released video captured the drone hitting a launcher with ammunition that detonated after the strike. The launcher was destroyed in the occupied village of Zaitseve, Donetsk region.
In July, Ukrainian soldiers from the 108th Separate Mountain Assault Battalion used a similar drone to eliminate the Russian commander of the 123rd Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces, known as “Tashkent.”
The FPV drone controlled by the Ukrainian operators hit the car and, as it became known later, exterminated the brigade commander.
