Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces targeted the Kamenksy Combine plant, a Russian state-owned enterprise located in Kamensk-Shakhtinsky of the Rostov region. The facility is part of Russia’s defense-industrial sector.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the attack took place overnight on August 24.
Footage released by the Unmanned Systems Forces proves the drone strike on the facilities at the Russian enterprise.
According to an analysis by Militarnyi, a fire was reported on the site.
The extent of the damage is currently being assessed.
The Kamenksy Combine plant is a Russian military-industrial enterprise that produces solid rocket propellant for ammunition used in the Uragan, Smerch, and Tornado-S multiple rocket launch systems, as well as for Iskander-M and Kinzhal ballistic missiles and intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs).
In addition, as part of the cooperation on the production of Kh-59M2/Kh-59M2A guided air-launched missiles, the enterprise manufactures the gas generator and engine, and also assembles 9ТК1D-00 engines in cooperation with JSC Iskra for these missiles.
In January last year, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a facility of a Russian enterprise producing solid rocket propellant in the Rostov region.
In December last year, the 1st Center of the Unmanned Systems Systems of Ukraine carried out further strikes on the enterprise.
