Ukrainian Buk SAM hits enemy air target

The Air Force of Ukraine demonstrated the defeat of an enemy air target in the Ukrainian sky.

The video was published by Air Force Command “West.”

To strike the target Ukrainian servicemen used the Buk-M1 anti-aircraft missile system.

The military noted that the enemy target had been successfully destroyed.

The published footage shows the exact moment of the anti-aircraft missile launch.

A few seconds later the air target blew up due to a detonation of the anti-aircraft missile warhead directly near the object in the sky.

Hostile aircraft flew at a relatively low altitude. Most likely, it was a Russian reconnaissance drone.

Buk SAM is a medium range multifunctional high-mobility anti-aircraft missile system.

It is designed to destroy strategic and tactical aircraft, cruise missiles, helicopters, and other air targets (depending on the modification).

The anti-aircraft missile system can be used for air defense of troops, military facilities, important administrative-industrial and other territories (centers) in case of a massive air attack, and can also be a module of tactical level missile defense.

According to the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, as of early July, the Air Force anti-aircraft missile forces have destroyed more than 530 enemy air targets.
